ROGERS — Lila Collins finished her junior season with a 25-7 overall record and a fourth-place finish Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Section 7-2A Individual Tournament.
The Brainerd Warriors singles player opened against eventual section champion Ava Nelson of Elk River and lost 6-1, 6-0.
Nelson then faced Molly Garber of Blaine in the third-place match and fell 6-1, 6-3.
Nelson will enter her senior season with a 56-12 career record.
“Getting to this level of the final four was a great accomplishment,” Warrior head coach Lisa Salo said. “Lila gained a lot of experience which she will bring back next season. We are extremely proud of her.
“Our team and all of our individuals had a great season. We are looking forward to our team banquet to celebrate everything we accomplished. Thanks to our seniors for their commitment and leadership to our program and we look ahead to next season with our returners.”
