Irina Shayk was one of several VIP guests at Giorgio Armani’s spring 2023 show in Milan, Italy today (alongside stars like Cate Blanchett and Alessandra Ambrosio in the front row). Her unique front row look, however, set her apart from the stylish pack: Shayk embraced a classic suit and tie that looked like it belonged on New York’s Wall Street.
Given tailoring is always one of Armani’s strongpoints, Shayk’s black suit, white button-up shirt, and skinny black tie was certainly an appropriate choice for the Italian label’s show—though it’s hardly a conventional fashion week choice, where glitzier gowns and heels usually prevail. The model embraced more of a menswear-inspired fit right down to the shoes, a clunky pair of black lace-up oxfords (perfect for jetting from show to show, mind you). Shayk’s sleek suiting was a nod to enduring classic that will never go out of style. Plus, ties have been totally having a moment. So, does this mean the model is in her banker-chic era? All she needed was a briefcase, and she’d be ready to ring the Stock Market bell.
